Hoffman Challenge Doll

Surprise Surprise! I have been mulling on this doll since last year that when I finally did put her together, she went rather easily. I still have a few finishing touches--rings and a few more butterflies fluttering like on her hat, but I am pleased with the results. I drew the original sketch last year right after I saw the challenge fabric. Here are some pics--overall, her "garden", and a close-up of her face. Not sure I am that happy with her expression but my Husband likes it. I don't think I pulled off the wink. I took pics of lots of people winking--guess it really didn't help!

She's a garden sprite!

Stephanie, I just made a little doll for Pat Winter's Comfort Dolls Project and it sure as heck gave me more appreciation for what you do. Those individual fingers? Sheesh!!!!

I'll be posting my doll tomorrow so you can smile... ;-)

She's a gorgeous doll! I really like the little tendrils "growing" up her legs. Good luck with the challenge!

Stephanie,
She's gorgeous! And I was so surprised to see a winking doll because that is what I am working on at the moment. I like how you got her cheek on the winking side to come up. I did the same with looking at pictures - people wink in different ways don't they? I was going to try the open mouthed, with more wrinkled eyes look. I hope she does really well in the challenge.

Stephanie, Maybe what you are not happy about is her head position. Try winking and I think you will find that you either keep your head in a veritcal position or lean your head into the wink. Lonnie

She is just precious! The detail is amazing. Vines growing up her legs, her fingers holding up her skirt, the leaves trimming her hat. It's wonderful! She's a winner for sure :-)
